The Black Political Empowerment Project (B-PEP), as we celebrate our 40 years of service to the Pittsburgh Region, is proud to be a founding partner of the Voting Is Power (VIP) Pittsburgh Regional Coalition. As B-PEP we continue our advocacy that African Americans VOTE in EACH and EVERY Election. Our power, as a people, lies in continuity, consistency and commitment. The future of Pittsburgh and the nation is not in the hands of the politicians, but in the hands of the people! Everyday, across this nation, we witness the impact of those in political power to affect our daily lives. On Tuesday November 4 the voters have the power, throughout this region, to help elect mayors, members of council and school boards, sheriffs, magistrate judges, judges to the Court of Common Pleas, Superior Court, Commonwealth Court, and don’t forget the retention vote of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, it’s important for many of the issues we stand for. We suggest that voters investigate who the non-partisan PA Bar Association recommends. The impact of politics is at a level many of us have never witnessed, including if those who need food, get it! When individuals don’t vote you disempower yourself, your family and your community! We urge you to VOTE on Tuesday, November 4 the and to have a LIFETIME Commitment to VOTE in EACH and EVERY Election! Those who need free transportation on Election Day should call B-PEP at 412-212-8775. B-PEP will also once again be conducting “Election Protection” to help ensure that the election process is fair unobstructed!
